Introduction

This is the Round 5 project. In this game, there are two teams. And each player will control one of the giant robot's hands. They need to wait to aim and use their hand to grab the planets. The goal is to get the most points.


Design

We got the inspiration from an old game called Gold Miner. And we modified it from one-player game to a multiplayer game. In order to increase the strategy and antagonistic of the game, we designed a mechanism in which you can steal the opponent's planets. In order to increase the cooperation, we also designed a joint planet which requires two players to grab together. As for the level design, our game starts from a tutorial to the basic level to the final level. We also designed a final "drum as fast as you can" to make the interest curve better.


My Contributions

  • As a programmer, I was responsible for the scripting of launching the hand, grabbing the planets, stealing the planets.
  • As a designer, I designed the fundamental gameplay and steal mechanism.
